The Gardaí and Protective Services Units

Protective Service Units are special Garda units set up to deal with crimes such as sexual violence and domestic abuse. When contacting your local Garda Station, we encourage you to ask for your local Protective Service Unit as these Gardaí are specially trained to investigate crimes like stalking. There are 27 of these units across the country.

In an emergency, it is vital that you call 999 or 112.

For information and advice on reporting and keeping an evidence log, take our 'Am I being stalked?' assessment.
